(Moral Rearmament Upholstered)

"Following a jubilee exhibition at the Industry, Labour and Textile Museum in Ghent, there was the possibility to design fabric that was to be woven on historic industrial textile machines from their collection. As part of my HeadNurse-project, I chose to make upholstery in green and black, laced with lurex. I had the oak chairs that I inherited from my grandmother upholstered with it. The kaleidoscopic result, when combined with some of my 96 geërotiseerde concepten (96 Eroticised Concepts), became an allusion to the prima materia, the essence out of which which women live and work."
